Welcome to
Life Changers Global Ministries
Supt. Sylvester Colter
Founding Pastor
Whole Truth Church of God in Christ

How it all started...
On October 2, 1977 at the conclusion of a revival the Lord led Elder Colter to start a ministry. There were several people who were instrumental in helping this ministry get off the ground; Mother Viola Williams, Paul Hollaman & Family, Elder Lee Colter, Elder E.R. Perkins, Elder Major King and many others. He remained faithful to the call and the Lord began to add to the ministry. They held their first service at a building located at 2502 South 6thAvenue. They eventually moved to the Broadway location at 2509 East Broadway Rd. In 1984 the Lord led Elder Colter to build an edifice from the ground up. Through many trials he was determined to do what the Lord told him to do. On July 26, 1986, the building was complete and Supt. Colter led the members of Whole Truth Campus in a victory march from the old church on Broadway Road to the new church at our present location, 4628 South 7th Street. In June of 1983 during the Holy Convocation on the official Sunday, Elder Colter was elevated to the office of Superintendent of the Emmanuel District by the late Bishop Felton King. He served faithfully until his health began to fail.
Expanding the Vision
Because of his unwavering dedication, steadfast loyalty, and sacrificial service to his district and the Arizona Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Supt. Sylvester Colter was honored by the late Jurisdictional Prelate and General Board Member, Bishop LeRoy Robert Anderson, with the esteemed title of Superintendent Emeritus. This recognition was a testament to his years of faithful ministry, his selfless investment in others, and his profound impact on the growth of the church. In July of 2006, after much prayer and reflection, Supt. Colter reached a pivotal moment in his journey. Feeling the gentle pull of God's guidance, he sought the counsel of Bishop Anderson and made the heartfelt decision to retire as pastor of Whole Truth. For decades, he had poured his heart, his wisdom, and his love into the congregation, leaving an indelible mark on every soul he touched. With the future of Whole Truth in mind, Supt. Colter carefully and prayerfully considered who could continue the legacy of faith and service he had so lovingly built. He turned his attention to someone he deeply trusted and admired—his adopted son in the gospel, Earl L. Newton. Believing in Pastor Newton's calling, character, and ability to lead with integrity, Supt. Colter wholeheartedly recommended him to Bishop Anderson as the next pastor of Whole Truth Campus. This transition was not simply a passing of responsibility; it was a passing of a sacred torch. Supt. Colter's recommendation was rooted in his love for the church and his belief that Pastor Newton would carry forward the vision, build upon the foundation, and lead the congregation into its next chapter with the same dedication and grace he had always exemplified. It was a bittersweet moment, marking the end of an era, but also the beginning of a new one, guided by God's divine plan.
Where we are headed...
Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Dr. Earl Newton, the Whole Truth Campus has experienced remarkable growth and transformation, touching every area of ministry. While the church has seen a steady and exciting increase in numbers, it is the profound spiritual growth of the congregation that truly stands as a testament to God’s hand at work. Lives have been changed, hearts have been healed, and a sense of purpose has been reignited in countless individuals. Apostle Newton has tirelessly implemented new ministries that are uniquely designed to address the holistic needs of people. These initiatives not only meet spiritual needs but also aim to uplift, educate, and empower individuals in their personal and professional lives. Dr. Newton has instilled a vision that ministry goes beyond the four walls of the church, focusing on reaching "the total man"—mind, body, and spirit. Through Dr. Newton’s unwavering commitment to God's calling, Whole Truth Church of God in Christ was reimagined and reborn as Life Changers Global Ministries. This change was not merely a name but a declaration of purpose: to be a beacon of transformation in the world. Under his leadership, the ministry’s reach has expanded far beyond its original borders, taking the message of hope, healing, and salvation to the nations. God has opened extraordinary doors for Dr. Newton to minister on the continent of Africa, where his heart for missions has led to the planting of multiple churches. These churches serve as thriving centers of faith, hope, and community, bringing the light of the gospel to areas that had long awaited its arrival. His commitment to global ministry reflects his deep understanding of the Great Commission and his passion for soul-winning. Dr. Newton’s leadership is more than a role—it is a calling that he has embraced with humility, courage, and relentless dedication. Through his faith, vision, and obedience, God has used him to expand the Kingdom in ways that inspire us all to dream bigger, love deeper, and serve with greater purpose. Truly, under his ministry, Life Changers Global Ministries stands as a testament to what God can do through a surrendered life and a willing heart.
